Shakira (Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll) is a top world female singer. Besides being a singer, she is also a songwriter and record producer.
Shakira was born on February 2, 1977 in Barranquilla, Colombia. Growing up in Colombia, Shakira became a native Spanish and fluent in several languages including English, French, Italian, Portuguese and Arabic.
Her career began when she released the Pies Descalzos album so that her name began to be heard outside of Colombia in 1995.
